Browsing data
Like most websites, our host keeps technical logs that may include your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, for the security and proper operation of the site. If you consent to it, site usage data (pages visited, interactions) is also collected by our analytics tool (see the Cookies and tracking technologies section).
Information collected by other means
We also collect information when you contact us by email, by phone, or in person: your name, your contact details, and the information related to your project.
Internal access
Only the owner of JustSimpleWeb has access to the personal information collected.
Purposes of collection
- Quote request form: respond to your inquiries and prepare a quote.
- Browsing data: ensure the security and proper operation of the site.
- Usage statistics (with your consent): understand how the site is used in order to improve it.
- Email, phone, and meetings: manage the client relationship and carry out the mandates entrusted to us.
We collect only the information necessary for the stated purposes, and we make sure your consent is clear, free, informed, and given for specific purposes.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Our site uses a limited number of cookies, managed by a consent banner (CookieYes). On your first visit, you choose to accept or refuse non-essential cookies: no non-essential cookie is placed before your consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
Necessary cookies
The consent banner records your choice in a cookie (cookieyes-consent, kept for about 12 months). This cookie is necessary to honor your preferences and contains no information that could identify you.
Analytics cookies (with your consent only)
If you consent to it, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used: pages visited, interactions, heatmaps, and anonymized session replay. Clarity places cookies (notably _clck and _clsk) and the data is processed by Microsoft in the United States. If you refuse, none of these cookies are placed and your browsing is not tracked.
The site also stores a local technical indicator (sessionStorage) that remembers, for the duration of your visit, that the intro animation has already played. It contains no personal information and is cleared when you close your browser. The fonts, animations, and videos remain hosted on our own servers.
Disclosure to third parties
We never sell or rent your personal information. It may be disclosed to the following service providers, solely for the purposes described in this policy:
- Netlify (site hosting): contact form submissions and the site's technical logs.
- Microsoft (Clarity analytics tool, if you consent to it): site usage data (interactions, heatmaps, anonymized session replay).
- CookieYes (consent management): the record of your cookie preferences.
- Google (Google Workspace): the emails you send us, hosted by our professional email service.
Transfer outside Quebec
Some of our providers, including Netlify, Microsoft, and Google, store data outside Quebec, notably in the United States. Before any transfer, we make sure the information receives adequate protection in accordance with generally recognized principles for the protection of personal information.
Retention of personal information
Personal information is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. When it is no longer necessary, it is securely destroyed, anonymized, or de-identified.
Security measures
- Encryption of communications across the entire site (SSL certificate, HTTPS).
